  1. A trip down memory lane! KSRTC has officially revived the legendary ‘Ammavan’ bus. With its classic green-and-white livery, split windscreens, and 1960s driver cabin, this vintage beauty is back to reclaim the roads of Thiruvananthapuram. Perfect for heritage rides and wedding shoots! english.mathrubhumi.com/news/k #KSRTC #VintageBus #KeralaHeritage #AmmavanBus #Thiruvananthapuram

  2. Had a fun adventure on the Fall Foliage tour hosted by MEHVA (Metro Employees Historical Vehicle Association) in partnership with King County Metro. They couldn’t control the rainy weather nor the power outage that hit the Black Diamond Bakery, but they did take us on a wonderful tour of the autumnal scenery around southeast King County on vintage buses.

  3. Went on an excursion today after the yearly meeting for the Uppsala chapter of SSS in the old Scania-Vabis bus from 1966 looking at the on-going construction of the new tram/lightrail lines.

  4. I spent all of yesterday riding vintage busses to Imber on Salisbury Plain, a village whose residents were turfed out by the army to make way for training for D-day landings.

Now only accessible a few days a year, and once a year the fine folks of Imberbus (imberbus.org) have the exclusive right to drive to and through it.

    Much fun. Many bus. #ImberBus #VintageBus #Routemaster #BusPic #bus #photography

  5. Royal Blue ran a huge operation of regional coach transport. These workhorses would congregate en masse at a bus station in Cheltenham and in surreal fashion would set off simultaneously to all points of the compass. No excuse for not knowing the departure time.

In Marlborough there was an infestation of tea rooms for the London to Devon routes.

  6. The interior of this tour coach captures an era when going on a bus was a special event. It mirrors the ornate interiors of cinemas of the time.

Luxury and adventure. Fun and community.

  7. A step on - step off bus. They were very practical and convenient. You could even run for one and leap on if athletic. An excellent design for slow moving traffic. From a time before we became so risk averse.

    Freezing in winter of course.

  8. There must have been a real sense of occasion, stepping into this Midland Red coach.

  9. A reminder that this year's vintage transport festival is soon upon us.

A vast assemblage of buses, classic cars, farm and military vehicles, traction engines, dancing, spares, ironmongery and the occasional ferret.

    Always wonderfully friendly.

  10. Sat on a vintage bus about to go for a run. It's made by Leyland. I may or may not return in one piece. It's got ashtrays in the back of the seats. #VintageBus #Milngavie

  11. I didn't have the cab of a London trolley bus on my Bingo card this morning.

    London's loss. Vigo's gain.
