It's almost like we could really benefit from giving people a small income, enough to live on, so we could get the best from our creators without them having to struggle in poverty or give up.

I sometimes wonder how many great creators we've lost as a society due to this lack of investment, it's hard to quantify and no one wants to count

And yet, you still haven't addressed the question. As I said, proponents of UBI seem to universally ignore even the possibility that anyone under #UBI would not be a productive member of society.

When pressed, they usually say "oh, that won't happen".

I can only say that their view of society would seem to be entirely #uncontaminated by exposure to #actual #people.
