  1. Good news: I can confirm, that turtle #WorldOfWarcraft works flawlessly on #linux with addons and mods and everything I can throw onto it.

  3. @sweetsunray I don't know if this is something we will ever find out. If GRRM incorporates all this lore in #TWoW/ADoS, then I wonder if it's information that Dany will bring w/ her to Westeros since she is the Essosi connection.

Given what the Greyjoys have done in the story, like driving the Starks from Winterfell & whatever Euron is up to in Oldtown, I wonder if they're not BE's descendants. The Daynes & Starks survived all this time & the story doesn't say what happened to him.

  4. Princess Deria placed in his hands a private letter from her father, Prince Nymor. Aegon read it upon the Iron Throne, and men say that when he rose, his hand was bleeding, so hard had he clenched it. He burned the letter and departed immediately on Balerion’s back for Dragonstone. When he returned the next morning, he agreed to the peace and signed a treaty to that effect.

Was Rhaenys still alive in the letter?

  5. He saw his brother on the Iron Throne again, but Euron was no longer human. He seemed more squid than man, a monster fathered by a kraken of the deep, his face a mass of writhing tentacles. Beside him stood a shadow in woman’s form, long and tall and terrible, her hands alive with pale white fire.

  6. She wondered what Daario was doing. Was he restless as well? Was he thinking about her? Did he love her, truly? Did he hate her for marrying Hizdahr? I should never have taken him into my bed. He was only a sellsword, no fit consort for a queen, and yet …

    Will Daario betray Dany?

  7. “You have a certain cunning, Tyrion, but the plain truth is you talk too much. That loose tongue of yours will be your undoing.”
“You should have let Joff tear it out,” suggested Tyrion.

Will Tyrion lose his tongue, as Jaime has lost his hand & Cersei her mystique?

  8. He is a man of the Night’s Watch, she thought, as he sang about some stupid lady throwing herself off some stupid tower because her stupid prince was dead. The lady should go kill the ones who killed her prince.

But Ashara’s daughter had been stillborn, and his fair lady had thrown herself from a tower soon after, mad with grief for the child she had lost, and perhaps for the man who had dishonored her at Harrenhal as well

    Is the song about Ashara?

  9. Only his life’s blood could pay for his crimes, your laws said, and Stannis Baratheon is not a man to go against the law … but as you said so sagely, the laws of men end at the Wall. I told you that the Lord of Light would hear your prayers.

“There he stands, Lord Snow. Arya’s deliverance. A gift from the Lord of Light … and me.”
    #asoiaf #adwd #twow #georgerrmartin

    Does Stannis know about Mance?

  10. Warlocks, wizards, alchemists, moonsingers, red priests, black alchemists, necromancers, aeromancers, pyromancers, bloodmages, torturers, inquisitors, poisoners, godswives, night-walkers, shapechangers, .., all find welcome in Asshai

    Is Euron a night-walker?

  11. They reached their destination, a small clearing in the deep of the wood where nine weirwoods grew in a rough circle. Jon drew in a breath, and he saw Sam Tarly staring. Even in the wolfswood, you never found more than two or three of the white trees growing together; a grove of nine was unheard of.

Did Mel burn weirwood from the "sacred" grove?

  12. “The bleeding star bespoke the end,” he said to Aeron. “These are the last days, when the world shall be broken and remade. A new god shall be born from the graves and charnel pits.”

    What will Euron raise?

  13. “I have seen you in the nightfires, Victarion Greyjoy. You come striding through the flames stern and fierce, your great axe dripping blood, blind to the tentacles that grasp you at wrist and neck and ankle, the black strings that make you dance.” “Dance?” Victarion bristled.

Will Victarion live long enough to face Euron again?

  14. The captain wanted Aemon’s chain as well, but there Sam had refused. It was a great shame for any maester to surrender his chain, he had explained. Xhondo had to go over that part three times before Quhuru Mo accepted it. By the time the dealing was done, Sam was down to his boots and blacks and smallclothes, and the broken horn Jon Snow had found on the Fist of First Men.

Does Sam have the Horn of Joramun?

  15. But that is not the way of House Dayne. The wielder of Dawn is always given the title of Sword of the Morning, and only a knight of House Dayne who is deemed worthy can carry it.

Does Dawn become more magical if it is carried by a knight who is NOT worthy of it?

  16. Even among the ironborn there are some who... acknowledge the more widely accepted view of an ancient descent from the First Men—even though the First Men, unlike the later Andals, were never a seafaring people. Certainly, we cannot seriously accept the assertions of the ironborn priests, who would have us believe that the ironmen are closer kin to fish and merlings than the other races of mankind.

  17. “You know nothing. You killed a dead man, aye, I heard. Mance killed a 100. A man can fight the dead, but when their masters come, when the white mists rise up … how do you fight a mist, crow? Shadows with teeth ... air so cold it hurts to breathe"

  18. And Joramun blew the Horn of Winter, and woke giants from the earth.
    ...
“The Horn of Joramun?” Melisandre said. “No. Call it the Horn of Darkness. If the Wall falls, night falls as well, the long night that never ends."
    #asoiaf #adwd #twow #georgerrmartin

Can the Horn of Joramun bring down the Wall physically?

  19. You cannot speak to him, try as you might. I know. I have my own ghosts, Bran. A brother that I loved, a brother that I hated, a woman I desired. Through the trees, I see them still, but no word of mine has ever reached them.

  20. “Whalen demanded his sword and he gave it over meek enough, but when the crossbowmen began feathering the wolf he seized Whalen’s axe and cut the monster loose of the net they’d thrown over him. Whalen says he took a quarrel in his shoulder and another in the gut, but still managed to reach the wallwalk and throw himself into the river.”

    Is Raynald still alive?

  21. But Ashara’s daughter had been stillborn, and his fair lady had thrown herself from a tower soon after, mad with grief for the child she had lost, and perhaps for the man who had dishonored her at Harrenhal as well. She died never knowing that Ser Barristan had loved her.

    Is she still alive?

  22. “Under the sea the mermen feast on starfish soup, and all the serving men are crabs,” Patchface proclaimed as they went. “I know, I know, oh, oh, oh.”
Melisandre’s face darkened. “That creature is dangerous. Many a time I have glimpsed him in my flames. Sometimes there are skulls about him, and his lips are red with blood.”

  23. “I never saw a braver knight,” Waters said, “but he turned what could have been a bloodless victory into a slaughter. A 1,000 men are dead, or near enough to make no matter. Most of them our own. & not just common men, Your Grace, but knights & young lords, the best & the bravest.”
    “And Ser Loras himself?”
    “He will make a 1,000 & one."

    Is Loras really dying?

  24. Matilda antagonised Londoners, who resented her appointment of earls and levying of taxes. She was heavy-handed where she could have been conciliatory. Meanwhile Stephen’s wife, losing patience with the fruitless negotiations, raised an army and camped on the south bank of the River Thames, just outside the city of London. Londoners, besieged by two Matildas – one threatening pernicious taxes and assaults on their unique rights, and the other threatening them with battle -
