Watching The House of Dragon for the first time. Very interesting first episode. The remix of the original theme song and the Place where Ned will lose his head were very impactful in the first few minutes.

i came here from tumblr after the last update (which they managed to roll back before i managed to write this introduction).i am slowly making my way through #smallville and #ds9. I also really like #voyager .
I also watch quite a few anime like #apothecaryDiaries, #OshiNoKo or #dungeonMeshi, but i also like some #isekai or #villainess storylines from time to time.
I read quite a bit, but fandomwise only #asoiaf is really relevant, and a lot of fanfics of course.
I am also still a bit into some of the things from my childhood like #starWars, #naruto or #yugioh.
I might post some fic recs from time to time and the occasional gif. -

I ordered a copy of 'World of Ice and Fire' from Thriftbooks last Saturday for $11.
It's the premium, $50 hardcover edition, fully illustrated, and it's huge, and in amazing condition.
An absolute score.

Today in Physical Media: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is being released on 4K Blu-Ray (also DVD!), and you better believe I'm pre-ordering it.

Can we take a moment to appreciate these guys.
Ser Humphrey Hardyng and Ser Humfrey Beesbury. Both stood by Dunc's side. Both gave their lives for him and both were likely killed by members of the Kingsguard. Brothers in arms and brothers in-law.
May the realm never forget their names.

I'm excited to see whatever #HouseOfTheDragon season three can bring to the table in June, but holy fuck does it feel like a damp squid coming out right now when #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms is the hottest show on the planet.
I love this shit. And for all it's many flaws, I still enjoy HotD season 2. More Thrones is always good, let's just hope they manage to right the ship in time for the final season.

If episode six can nail the landing, I'm fairly happy in saying that season one of this show is up there with Game of Thrones seasons 1-4.
It's basically the perfect adaptation of the book; staying true to the source material and bringing in new context that helps sell the book as a TV show.
I adore the characters, and they've expanded upon some of them to great effect. I can't wait to see Maekar in the season finale.
It looks stunning and it sounds even better. It's well written, and doesn't mind mixing it up a little with the previously tried GoT formula (flashbacks, funny edits etc etc).
It has reverence to what came before, but doesn't hold it on a pedestal.

Well, just watched episode five of #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms and once again I am flawed by what HBO have managed to do here. Absolutely stunning television from the word go.
I don't really have the vocabulary to describe how I feel about it, so I'll just say that I think this shit is absolutely fucking fantastic and I'm going to be sad when this season of TV ends next week.

Just finished episode four of #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms and for my money, that's the single best episode of Game of Thrones (if that's what we're calling the franchise) television since mid-way through season 5 of the main show, maybe even season four.
I spent the entire episode in a constant state of teary eyed emotional distress that culminates in this incredibly cathartic moment of just 'holy fuck this show can still hit these highs'.
Incredible work from all involved and I think I'm going to be rewatching this episode before the week is through.
I can't sit a horse and I can't swing a sword, but Knight me on this very spot and I'll be fighting alongside my brother's right this second.

Real glad to see the outpouring of love towards #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms.
I adore these works, both book and screen and it's nice to see them brought to life in such a fun and vivid way.
I'm not expecting to get a conclusion to the main book series, but I'm confident we're going to get more Dunk and Egg in both print and television, and that's almost all I need*.
There's so many more adventures to learn about and enjoy, and I can't wait for them.
*But seriously George, give me Blood and Fire FFS. Please. If you do nothing else, give me that. Summerhall!

I think it's basically a good sign that they don't inflate the pretty straightforward original story with meaningless content. Just look at #TheHobbit adaptation. Awful. I am quite optimistic about the #series. #AKnightoftheSevenKingdoms #AKOTSK not so #DarkFantasy #Fantasy #GoT #ASoIaF

I haven't had a chance to watch episode one of #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms as of yet, but I should find the time this evening.
I for one am so ready to dive back into the HBO world of Westeros and am super intrigued to see how they handle this smaller scale story about a young man and his younger squire.

Et ça va être un peu plus random cette fois-ci. A une époque j'avais envisagé de faire des bannières représentant les différents corps du Système Solaire, avec des devises inspirées de celles des différentes Maisons de Westeros, l'univers de Game of Thrones.
Jamais terminé, mais j'en ai trois à montrer quand même, pour le Soleil, Saturne et Pluton.
Et j'avais jamais montré ça je crois. Sans doute parce qu'inachevé.

Just rewatched a short David Lightbringer video on First Man religion—Old Gods, weirwoods, Garth Greenhand, green men. Mythic, eerie, beautiful stuff.
It's only a 30 minutes long but reminded me why I fell in love with the deep magic of Westeros in the first place.

Gutted to hear that #HBO have pushed #AKnightOfTheSevenKingdoms back to 2026. I was very excited to see the first few Dunk and Egg stories brought to screen, and whilst we'll still be getting them, the extra year has dampened the mood somewhat.
I'm also wondering if this means we're going to get a delay with #HotD Season 3. The original idea was that we'd get a season of each show every other year, but if Knight has been pushed, does that mean that HotD is also being pushed?
The two year gap was already pretty rough, I'm not sure the show could sustain a three year hiatus.
