Mr. Airplane Man, “You Left Me Cold” from their eponymous debut album (1998)

I remember strolling through #HarvardSquare one time and hearing a swath of over-amped, noise-shrouded wailing coming from around the corner. Drawn towards the sound, I found just two women, one strategically bashing around on some drums - I can’t recall if she had a full drum kit but my gut says no - and the other playing electric guitar and singing through a deliberately distorting amp. Bad audio never sounded so good, as these two white girls carving into existence this stark #blues.

They were selling copies of their debut album on CD out of a guitar case. HELLS YEAH I grabbed one.
