In case people are wondering why I keep boosting #TwitterShutdown and #TwitterBan related stuff, it’s because I care about the people I’ve met on Twitter. I’m worried about my friends. I don’t want to lose the connections that I’ve made if it goes down. I don’t want to lose you. So please, spread the word. Make sure to connect on different platforms. Not just for me, but for your own friends as well.
I’m afraid. Losing your friends due to something outside of your control is the worst thing that can happen. I’ve tried to be pro-active about it and yet, I still see so many people (friends and followers) who haven’t moved elsewhere or advertised other socials where people can contact them if/when the site goes down.
If you’re on the Fediverse or Mastadon, please reach out and let’s connect. If you’re not there, please connect and let me know where I can find you so that we can connect.
My biggest fear right now is seeing Twitter disappear and losing my only way to communicate with my friends. The friends that I’ve made online mean the world to me and help me to make it to another day. I am incredibly grateful for all the people I’ve met throughout my life. You all mean so much to me :hug:

@web3isgreat This is yet another example of why centralization is the way of the past. Whether it's the #cryptocrash or #Twittershutdown, central points of failure have wreaked havok this month.
Web3 needs to follow #Mastodon and the Fediverse's example and stay as decentralized as possible.
