I'm now convinced that keeping #advertisers away from #Mastodon restricts revenue for instances that could upgrade their kit to handle a new influx of #Twitterati

Imagine if #ElonMusk suddenly has a system outage and VAST numbers of #twitterati sign up to all the other services and #Mastodon got just one third of them... ⤵

Not to disparage people but I just listened to the latest episode of Accidental Tech Podcast and you end up with 3 guys commenting and complaining about Maston without really having ever used it or looked into it…like going so far as saying “I don’t know if there is even 3rd party clients on the iPhone”. 🤦‍♂️ Then again, they seem to be “all in” on Twitter.

The Tech #Twitterati never ceases to amaze me.

Not to disparage people but I just listened to the latest episode of Accidental Tech Podcast and you end up with 3 guys commenting and complaining about Maston without really having ever used it or looked into it…like going so far as saying “I don’t know if there is even 3rd party clients on the iPhone”. 🤦‍♂️ Then again, they seem to be “all in” on Twitter.

And gently offer a helping hand through being a good #federati ;) I’m trying to do just that.
