Je voulais demander à des amies de quitter Twitter pour venir sur Mastodon. Selon moi les outils du genre #fedifinder #movetodon #Twitodon #debirdify sont la meilleure chose pour que ça marche. Le.viens de découvrir que cet outil ( https://www.sky-follower-bridge.dev/fr/ ) existe pour Bluesky. Ne serait il pas possible d'en recréer pour Mastodon? Enfin, si ça existe, je suis preneur. 😉

It didn't at first when I tested it today, but after seeing that the old version (https://fedifinder-v1.glitch.me/) works, I gave it another try and it went through. Down to 538 from 617 accounts. Will have to look into what happened with the rest (deleted?).

#Debirdify sadly got suspended by Twitter last week.

Just checked the #birdsite for people I followed that made it to the #fediverse, I am a little disappointed that #twitodon found only 8 out of close to 35 hundreds I was subscribed to! I then proceeded to disable my account for the last and final time. No way I'm reactivating it again, unless #elmo sells the platform (highly unlikely).

Reminder: today is the last day to scan #Twitter to find your friends at #Mastodon! 😎

There's another new alternative to #Movetodon, called #MastodonFlock ! (I haven't tried it yet, but I will later tonight. )

At first glance, it looks like it might combine the best of the other tools, logging into Mastodon to see who you already follow, AND providing a CSV at the end! So it's got some flexibility! 😎

#Twitodon is working, but it only found three (out of 450) of my follows, and I had already followed them on #Mastodon. Also, there's nothing there where it says how I should remove Twitodon #authorization from Mastodon. 🤷🏽‍♂️

#Movetodon is down right now, but there are 3 other tools!

#Debirdify and #Fedifinder both work well. They scan your Twitter follows, look for any who post their #Mastodon handle in their bio or pinned tweet, and give you a .csv file you can import to follow here. (Make sure you select "merge"!)

Another one is #Twitodon that works slightly differently, but I haven't used it.

I don't have the links on hand, but they should be easy to find!

@davidaugust #fedifinder, #twitodon and #debirdify are all great places to start with finding people from the coocoo bird's $44B nest known as #twitter, often times, referred to as #birdsite here. But I'm sure you've seen these all mentioned a time or two already in the #twittermigration and related hashtags.

I don't actually particularly take issue with the cross posting btw. I was just more or less trying to poke light hearted humor at it. My apologies if I gave off the wrong impression.
