  1. Went for a walk yesterday during my lunch break at work. It seems the #trees around me got the memo that #Fall has arrived.

I love the cool air of #autumn, the way that the sun filters through #treetops and paints stripes of gold and shadow across the trails. The crunch of fallen leaves underfoot. Summer is great, but this is a welcome treat.

  3. The #jungle, endless green. The year is 2024. These are the adventures of the #robot Avocado 🥑. It will one day provide researchers with data from hard-to-reach #treetops 🌳. snf.ch/en/ayVlsYIYyyrSPKJS/new

  4. There's a lot to like about the #CriticalZone. After all, it's the weave of #ComplexSystems that support life on #Earth.

From the #bedrock to the #treetops, it's full of lush plant life, beautiful geologic formations, your garden in the backyard.

But for Eric Parker, based at the University of New Hampshire, who is a hydrologist, there's no question about which part of the Critical Zone is his favorite.

  5. It is #Hard to hear the #North #Wind again,
And to watch the #Treetops, as they sway.

    Deeplier, deeplier, loudlier, loudlier,
The #Trees are swaying, swaying, swaying.

    - Wallace Stevens, The Region #November

Wallace wrote this #Poem at the end of his life.
It was published in 1956, the year after he died at 75.
