Finally got around to doing a cord cutting for my step family, it's been a long time coming but I kept putting it off due to insecurity. Ended up being rather underwhelming, which is equal parts amusing as it is disappointing. Oh well, out with bad trash, in with whatever's next.

Today, I shared something on my writer profile on Instagram with reference to World Mental Health Day. This lead someone to comment publicly about their own problems - and then they kept talking about these, but only hinting at them. I am not sure if they hoped for me to ask about those problems and start a conversation - which I didn't.

Unfortunately we need to play this support group on hard mode: no one in the group is allowed to have sex with anyone else in the group.

@Anjohl I have nothing but compassion for people with trauma.
I, too, have experienced trauma.
I, too, have engaged in #traumadumping.
But people need to seek consent before just sharing traumatic stories, even beyond content warnings.
We need folks to embrace therapy and actually building offline networks to discuss these things.
