Did my second session of #EMDR today. It’s such a different mode of #therapy compared to #CBT or #TalkTherapy or #GroupTherapy I’ve done in the past.
I’m very hopeful this will help resolve the emotional rollercoaster I’ve been on in adulthood and get back to living the life I want to live.

@nichorra Came across the "therapist is a guru" schtick back in the 1980s - one follower punched another when the therapist transfered their intimate expression of affection away from the puncher and to the punchee.
Ah, #GroupTherapy with lax ethical standards - powerful stuff.
And potentially very damaging.
To the extent that improved mental health comes from being in a healthy relationship with the pyschologist/therapist/counselor, having a sef-deluded psych is a recipe for illness.
