Today I got to experience trans-affirming care from the perspective of the person receiving care. I must confess I was wary going to see a medical specialist for care as I have heard too many horror stories from the community. Fortunately I had a very good experience, the doctor, who I understand is well regarded in this field, was thorough, respectful, and considerate of my perspective and concerns. I am feeling a little more confident to take the next steps.
