If I compiled a list of my top ten favourite pianists, Dick Katz would be on it. As a child listening to repeats of The Goon Show, I always enjoyed his playing - but now, with the benefit of experience and hindsight, I understand just how incredibly talented and versatile he was. An amazing musician! BBC Radio audiences of the 1950s were so lucky to experience his art.

So pleased to find that someone is actively maintaining a Goon Show wiki! It even has a list of musical numbers performed by Max and Ray, which is something I've wished for for AGES. How wonderful! Now I won't be frustrated, wondering what those great old songs actually were :)

Not exactly a lost episode, but tomorrow #BBCRadio4Extra will air an episode of #TheGoonShow from 1957 never broadcast in the UK before: The Missing 10 Downing Street.

Good afternoon... been having a #radiocomedy session, listening to #TheGoonShow and #RoundtheHorne - I think I'm the only one I know, apart from my Dad, who is a #Goons fan, and I don't know anyone else who loves Round the Horne. Big fan of #ISIHAC and #ISIRTA as well, though the former hasn't been the same since Humph died. #OldHarry'sGame is another favourite (but again I'm the only person I know who knows or cares that it exists!)
