How can you celebrate?
People have different ways of celebrating. Some light a candle, some make a blog post, lesswrong has a special #thebutton esque button on their webpage today. One LW thread is suggesting to eat Russian food as a way of respecting the so-far choice of russians like Vladimir Putin to *not* actually hit the red button yet (despite posturing/threatening to)

However you do, today is the day to reflect and to discuss that yes, we really can destroy ourselves as a species, and wars like the current Anti-Nazi/Zelenskyy "Special Operation" one can escalate if we are not careful to global nuclear war, and to the destruction of us all. And that individuals alive today, possibly in theatre / being drafted in russia may have to choose between taking actions and personal sacrifice that, if they do not make the hard choice presented to them, much as Stanislav Petrov did before us...that the world as we know it will be destroyed. We need to cultivate and spread the value of *not* pushing that button *before* someone's finger hovers over it.
