Coming up to the 3-year anniversary of Keith's passing. I first had the opportunity to work with him when I was in theatre school in Victoria, Canada in 1978 - and then had the opportunity to join Loose Moose in 1982.
In memory and celebration of Keith - and all of the talented people who had an opportunity to work with him - here's a little something from my archives, circa 1983 - -

:ablobcatheartsqueeze:
Super ambiance, on a hâte de remettre ça ! :blobaww: -

@GottaLaff
Me too. My response is to suggest the "Yes, and" method, which I learned at Bay Area Theatre Sports.
I want show people how we can move the story forward.(BTW, I studied under Keith Johnstone at the Loose Moose Theatre in Calgary Canada.
He wrote the book Impro: Improvisation and the Theatre)

📯 Self promotion klaxon: I’m in a show this week!📯
On Friday, August 4th at 8:00pm, I’m guesting with BATS Improv main company for the summer of #Theatresports at the Bayfront Theatre at Fort Mason. Two teams of improvisers competing to give you the best show possible, and the winners move on to play again! We Brought Snacks won our first round, but can we do it again?!
Shows are pay what you will; reserve tickets ahead of time at the links here: https://bio.site/kala or at the box office half an hour before curtain. I’d love to see you there!

I got to do a little bit of improv with Wayne Brady in a workshop he taught with Dan O’Connor yesterday. That was… pretty great. If you’d told the version of me that started in improv 1999 at the while watching Whose Line that she’d walk into an improv class with Wayne and an accomplished improv author and introduce herself as a fellow #TheatreSports professional decades later - and be taken completely seriously - she couldn’t have comprehended it. #acting #improv

I hadn't heard, but Keith Johnstone, father of modern Western #improv, passed away a couple of weeks ago:
I seriously recommend to everyone to read his book "Impro" - even if you're not into improv. Some amazing lessons on education, drama, and flow states. I seriously find new stuff in it every time I read it!

Enjoyed this article by one of my many friends in the NZ improv scene. A journey into decades past, ruminating on the origins of some of today's celebrities, and reflecting on what banks today could do with their record profits. https://thespinoff.co.nz/pop-culture/26-02-2023/the-day-united-bank-gave-theatresports-a-million-dollars #NZ #Improv #Theatre #Theater #Theatresports #Arts #Funding #ArtsFunding #Banks #Profits #Sponsorship #CorporateGreed
