Will you look at that. It turns out that when you tell your neighbours "Fuck off, I don't want to be in your group" and then decide that actually you want to be back in *parts* of the group then it's an up-hill battle and you're normally not allowed to pick and choose 😐

@chainq I still ship to the EU. But I can't ship via 'standard post' So everything needs go go via DHL Express, but because of this, you'll get it extra fast & you won't get hit for import duty.
#FUNFACT, I can no longer ship to Northern Ireland.. Due to the #SunlitUplands that #Brexit never was. 💩

Apparently we don't want to be "a rule taker" and accept EU rules (which we used to have a significant voice in).
Instead, one of the options is "dynamic alignment" where we maintain equivalent regulatory standards without being involved in deciding those standards.
Because apparently that's entirely different to "rule taking". And better than being in the room and influencing the rules.
Absolute cockwombles, the fucking lot of them.

UK government has revealed that importers of animal products from the EU will pay £29 per type of item – such as an individual pack of cheese or sausage. The charges will be capped at £145 per shipment, and will start on 30 April, with additional checks in October.
Bonkers

CW: Brexit Benefits
Speaking to a lady that works in my local pub. She finished university this year and is off travelling to New Zealand, then maybe Australia. She got an NZ work permit for a year, "it was easy" and her friend wants to work in Spain as an au-pair but has been waiting 8 weeks for a work visa. "It's a complete mess", she said, "it's easier to work in New Zealand than Europe". #Brexit #SunlitUplands

Hearing from a friend whose daughter wants to be a midwife that it's very difficult to get a place on a training course because the shortage of practising midwives is so extreme that there aren't enough of them to supervise students.

@CheRosach I’m particularly looking forward to that classic simple Italian dish of tomatoes and mozzarella with olive oil and basil.
Obviously now with turnip instead of tomatoes.
But also - because I BELIEVE IN BRITIAN - Wensleydale instead of mozzarella.
And a drizzle of sunflower oil and some nettles to garnish. -
