Hi all, it's that time of year, especially if you're growing your own plants from seed. The earlier you can get rid of male plants, or isolate them if you're going to do some seed production or breeding experiments, the better.
I'll put a little more info about sexing cannabis in the next couple comments. Feel free to ask about any of it!

For years we talked about adding pots of flowers to the nursery to pretty it up a little bit. This year we added a bunch of them in front and a few big sunflowers in the back. Next year I think we will do a line of tall sunflowers and other flowers across the whole back perimeter of the nursery.
We are now in the last weeks of our season here, so this is the time to get plants, especially since nearly everything is on sale.
Since we cater to outdoor cultivators, we typically sell out sometime in late July. there is still enough veg time left in the season for these plants to produce multiple pounds in the hands of an experienced gardener.
We're open to the public 9 to 5 Tuesday through Sunday. You can give us a call at 707-923-5063 if you have any questions.

The sun is going down and the plants are going to sleep (they droop like this at night), but there's still time to get an order in for our Berkeley plant drop tomorrow afternoon. If you get your order in by about 9 AM, I can get them in the trailer for tomorrow's delivery.

The buds come out normal, but the leaves look nothing like cannabis. Great for backyard growers when you have nosy, busybody neighbors. Beloved long time Plant Humboldt crewmember Barbara volunteered to be our poster model this season. Shes a long time Southern Humboldt local and has been growing weed since before most of y'all were born. She's the real SoHum OG! Ask her and she'll tell you that back when she turned 55, she decided life was too short to be unhappy and now always finds a way to focus on the positive. That's why she's always smiling 😊

It's that time of year! We don't sell plants until we can definitively identify them as female, distinguished by the little white "hairs" (called "stigma") protruding from the green pod-like "bract" (what most people call a "calyx").
Once a plant declares its sex this way, we can sell it. Once we identify males, they go into the compost. (Though we do occasionally save a few for people who want to juice the leaves or dabble in breeding.)
We guarantee our plants are female, but it's critically important that anyone growing cannabis understand that ANY cannabis plant, whether from clone or seed, can produce male flowers at any time in its life cycle. This happens due to stress, genetics and possibly other factors. So check your plants regularly throughout the season or you could end up with a seeded crop.

We'd hella appreciate boosts, telling your friends about us, etc. Because of regulations and lingering anti-weed stigma, it's really hard for us to advertise effectively.
It sucks, but Instagram (🤮) is one of our best sources of outreach and business. That means we really have to be active there, despite my personal disdain for that company. I'm hoping that we can develop more of a home on the fedi, especially in NorCal where all the growers we serve are. Cheers!

Caleb and Barbara, part of our hard-working, kick ass site crew, up-potting some of our seed grown, sun grown #cannabis plants from 4-inch pots into 2-gallon grow bags. Once the plants are fully rooted into the 2 gallon pots and we can definitively identify them as female, they will be ready for sale.
The first batch that we began up-potting over two weeks ago are about 16 inches tall and ready to go.

Currently available is "Pinnacle" (shown in pics), a cross of Slurty 3 x Gush Mints
It's indica dominant and tests out at 28% THC.Even our clones are grown outdoors under natural light, though they currently get a couple hours of low-wattage supplemental light to keep them in vegetative phase, so be sure you can maintain this in your garden until at least mid-May. If not, our seed-grown varieties would be a better choice.
