@mszll There's a fork of Squoosh that has added back the CLI support that Google dropped. Their UI now has a CLI icon to copy the CLI equivalant of whatever optimization the GUI is doing.

In 2023 what is the best way to compress/convert videos ready for web? Sort of like #Squoosh but for video - ideally mp4 and webm

Before posting any image on a social network, compressing them would be a nice courtesy for the maintainers of #fediverse instances. #Hosting costs could be reduced a lot if we all would do it.

https://squoosh.app is a great and quick tool to compress images (almost) without quality loss, but there are many more. It just takes two clicks.
