Welp, after going several rounds with USAA trying without success to get them to do the right thing and stop sending me spam from their CEO that I can't unsubscribe from, I've finally just blocked them and moving forward every time they spam me it'll get reported to SpamCop automatically as spam.
"We care about your privacy but not enough to let you unsubscribe from these announcements you don't give a shit about," says a lot about them, I think.

Ich habe, dank meinem Script, in den letzten Tagen wieder häufiger #spam an #SpamCop gemeldet.

Nun habe ich das Gefühl, dass der unerlaubte E-Mails häufiger geworden sind.

If your domain is bsky.app and you are using amazon #aws for your #mail services and your mail server is spam listed when required for such high priority activities as account #verification, you have an issue, and a #systemdesign #flaw. So, in case I/you didn't have enough reasons to despise #Microsoft that's now more than a month since they're IPs have started being aggressively being blocked via #Spamcop. That's because of the spam coming from MS's servers.
That's been a month MS has done rpetty much nothing to address the situation.
I see people blaming SC for this, for being too strict. But a spamlist duty is to report, guess what, services used to send spam.

That's been a month #microsoft is being blacklisted by #spamcop, because of the volume of spam being generated. A whole month during wich Microsoft barely acknowledged the issue and forcing multiple server to operators to lower their defences, at the very least by whitelisting their IPs and forcing their users to receive the spam sent thru their server, ironically, named ".outbound.protection.outlook.com".

Don't just move unsolicited emails to the spam folder, report them to someone who can get them into trouble, too, using Spamcop!

It looks like using #SpamCop to report the spammers has had the desired effect: my spam dropped from about 60% of all messages received to about 5%. I guess they've learned to not spam people who will turn them in to their hosting providers.

Not sure if this qualifies as #threatintel but posting it anyway.
Got this amusing #phishing pretending to be from the tax authorities, last warning to claim whatever money they want to give me.
Everybody knows, tax authorities do not warn if they want to GIVE you money!
But the other interesting thing is, the link shortener used was t.co and what does #spamcop have to say about t.to? " twitter doesn't care about spamreports" so this is another piece that piles on the birdsite issue stack.

Um 10:49 schlug das Monitoring Alarm, meine Mailserver sind auf #Spamcop geblacklisted. Kurzer check ... wie peinlich! Die haben vergessen ihre #Domain spamcop.net zu erneuern. Da wird jetzt gerade die ganze Welt geblacklisted. Das wird heute aber massive Störungen im Mailverkehr nach sich ziehen ... 🙄

Last week, I filed 18 spam reports with #Spamcop. Seventeen came from #Google. One from Yahoo. Those #Gmail people don’t give a toss, do they?
