  1. @cryptomilk #neovim have some great distributions but I still think that if you want to start with Neovim, start with creating your own config. Because it'll force you to not only use it but also learn it 😊.

  6. @asltf If you don't have experience with #neovim then how are you going to code in it (you could still do it, after all it's just a text editor, but not productively). You should at least need to know how it is configured. You could use existing distributions like, #NvChad, #lazyvim, #astrovim, #spacevim, etc. Or, if you got time, create your own config -> youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsz

  11. Anyone out there who uses #vim #emacs or more specifically #spacevim .. What suggestions do you have for syncing with your android phone (or google calander)? I found quite a few ways but all feel rather hackish to me, wondering if anyone has an elegant solution out there.

Right now im considering using taskwarrior as a middle man and syncing between org and taskwarrior and then syncing up taskwarrior with either google calander or my android directly.

  14. CW: Unix desktop screenshots ftw

Winter desktop. Just because. Workdays laptop. #pop_os 22.04, #GNOME desktop. GNOME web browser and #bandcamp playback. And two terminals running #neofetch and #vim (with #spacevim installed) editing python code. Ah, and of course #xsnow in vintage settings...

  18. @dulanyw ah. I reread. For vim. Fairly minimal these days:

    - coq
    - ctrlp
    - easymotion
    - gruvbox
    - editorconfig
    - fzf

I keep trying to make #SpaceVim work for me too.

  30. spacevim might be nice but I can't get over the space being overridden for the custom menu stuff.

Too much muscle memory for spacebar moving cursor to the right.

  33. just had a scare while trying to install #spacevim, i :q'd one time while it was configuring, or did something else, and that bricked my entire #vim config from before. (gofmt script didn't work anymore, etc.). Fortunately i restored all the vim config files with time machine.

  36. @amolith Very happy #SpaceVim user, even gave a lightning talk on it at Ohio Linux Fest right after someone gave a lightning talk on #Spacemacs.
