@cryptomilk #neovim have some great distributions but I still think that if you want to start with Neovim, start with creating your own config. Because it'll force you to not only use it but also learn it 😊.

@asltf If you don't have experience with #neovim then how are you going to code in it (you could still do it, after all it's just a text editor, but not productively). You should at least need to know how it is configured. Anyone out there who uses #vim #emacs or more specifically #spacevim .. What suggestions do you have for syncing with your android phone (or google calander)? I found quite a few ways but all feel rather hackish to me, wondering if anyone has an elegant solution out there.

Right now im considering using taskwarrior as a middle man and syncing between org and taskwarrior and then syncing up taskwarrior with either google calander or my android directly.

@dulanyw ah. I reread. For vim. Fairly minimal these days:

- coq
- ctrlp
- easymotion
- gruvbox
- editorconfig
- fzf

I keep trying to make #SpaceVim work for me too.

spacevim might be nice but I can't get over the space being overridden for the custom menu stuff.

Too much muscle memory for spacebar moving cursor to the right.

just had a scare while trying to install #spacevim, i :q'd one time while it was configuring, or did something else, and that bricked my entire #vim config from before. (gofmt script didn't work anymore, etc.). Fortunately i restored all the vim config files with time machine.

i have fixed missing icons in #spacevim though so there's a win.

I know this software is very bloated, but #spacevim gives me an IDE-like feeling without needing to install any plugins. I'll try it out for a few days and see if the drop in performance bothers me...
