Well that #SOTW was a rough go. The stream could never really get going.
I feel bad for the team trying to make it work.
I'm looking forward to watching the replay and the commentary from the #WordPress community.
Oh and WordPress 6.9 came out during the event! Looks neat!

Thank you for your reply. I‘m aware of the links but I am / was hoping for good news at the State of the Word #SOTW. And Plugin-Security is a low-hanging fruit to produce good news.

At the State of the Word address this week, Matt Mullenweg was asked about support for the plugin, and he commented that less than 5,000 sites had installed it. So he wasn't sure how interested people are in it.
So... if you have a WP site, let's start installing that plugin and making more sites available via ActivityPub! 😀

WordPress migration from Slack to Matrix being put on hold.

@tchambers @photomatt according to Matt there's 5k installs, but FediDB showing ~2500. I'm wondering how to improve discoverability (I had to add a few myself manually) - and how to drive installs - according to #SOTW there's not much interest (although Tumblr is next up for #ActivityPub integration) - WP value proposition is not clear, yet.
For me, I'd rather get the blog feed directly than a link via an author's account pulling in a RSS feed and reposting.

Matt Mullenweg just announced that bringing #Tumblr to the Fediverse is happening next.
I thought that plan has been scrapped.
