  1. @jeroenbosman thanks! I've been brainstorming ways to make my #PublicHistory project on the #InvasionAndOccupationOfIraq a trusted resource for teachers and the public. I don't want it to be percieved/dismissed as leftist revisionism. One idea was to make interpretive claims in the narrative history chapters more transparent by linking sources in our #archive. I'm also considering using #SocialAnnotation to make the sources in our archive more accessible. But that's as far as I've gotten . . .

I've posted quite a lot on Twitter and on my professional blog about #SocialAnnotation as a #pedagogical practice for increasing student #engagement in reading and discussion, particularly in #hybrid and #remote instructional modalities. The research (and, let's be frank, marketing) team at #Hypothesis has just released a white paper that synthesizes a lot of the research that supports this tool.

    It's worth a read if you're already using tools like Hypothesis, #Perusall, or #Kami or if you're looking for new tools to use in your classroom.
