  1. Bubbles and Gatekeeping

Curated online spaces feel like relief—but hand-picking who gets in is still gatekeeping, just with a human face.

  5. #CollaborativeReading #OnlineCuration #SocialAnnotation #OCSA

Been using this #Memex tool for a while. There have been frequent updates, recently. Just upgraded my account.

Despite an emphasis on integration with #OpenAI technologies (and unfortunate mentions of cryptocurrencies), it has many other features which may prove useful to those of us who work in the open. In fact, it can integrate with #Obsidian which is another (commercial) tool allowing this type of work.

  6. Are academics out there using #Diigo for #OnlineCuration and/or #SocialAnnotation?

Two reasons to ask about it. One is that I've been having technical issues and I'm wondering if others are in a similar situation.
The other is that, for the first time in quite a while, I've heard a mention of the service by someone else. So maybe others have noticed some of the same features I've noticed?
(While I prefer hypothes.is for annotation, I use Diigo much more extensively.)
