@LilFluff
You might want to check the two earlier stories, #ScoutAndShaman and #ShamanScout .There might be a couple of clues :)

@Unixbigot
The hashtag #ShamanSpace will get you the current story.
And https://rdmasters.lympago.com/p/microfic-and-tootfic-list.html has the two earlier stories #ScoutAndShaman and #ShamanScout listed.I will add links for Shaman Space to the listing page soonish.

Correct! #ShamanSpace for this story, #ScoutAndShaman for the first in the series, and #ShamanScout for the second.
All three happen in different time periods. -
You know how it is, you think you are done with a story, and all of a sudden you discover that someone else wants to step up. And you have no idea where they came from.
Say 'Hi' to Alaine Haughton, son of the owner of a starship yard, and brother to several sisters (at least) - one of whom is called Marvella.
He is a lowly space hand on a small tramp trader called Athena.
And this all ties in with #ScoutAndShaman and #ShamanScout. So now I also have #ShamanSpace on the boil.

While working on #ScoutAndShaman, #CerianAndVaranWar, and #GwenAndGrey, I made a conscious decision to limit my physical descriptions of the characters.
Gwen has red hair. Ashwan is "shorter than expected". Hitomi is very tall and has wings (and Claire would give her a run for her money in height). Grey is never actually described beyond the bauplan they are using at the time - and the fact that their preferred #Dragon form is huge. Tannis, Ava, or Estelle don't get described at all.
My reasoning is to allow my readers to create their own images of how the characters look.
Since then, I have (naturally) run off to #HeroForge, and created 3d models of how I imagine they look!
Except for Grey. I will never really be able to model them, because their form is so mutable.
I will not be sharing these models online, because I really do want my readers to be the people who decide what the characters look like.
