Anyone here that cares about all of the following or knows someone who does:
* #s390
* #Fedora
* #LinuxKernelI'm wondering if its worth enabling s390 for some or all of my kernel vanilla coprs[1]. It's likely not much work for me, but well, why waste the builder's time and energy if no one cares in the end anyway.

I wanted to build a server on Fedora for S/390, but I ran into some problems. I thought it was on Fedora, but upon studying the situation in more detail, I found out it was on QEMU/KVM.
Regardless, it seems to me a problem that would not be solved so easily. So I decided to build my server on Fedora for x86_64 and it's going great. A friend recommended "Hercules", but I still don't know how to use it and because it's more complex, it would postpone my plans. -

Yesterday I successfully installing, configuring and updating Fedora Server on QEMU/s390x, but today I had some setbacks. Because, after the error message "KASLR disabled: CPU has no PRNG", Fedora took a while, but decided to boot.

Installing updates using Cockpit, but for some reason this "undefined" appears next to the name of the packages being updated.

@[email protected] @[email protected] I jokingly named that concept OS/1337...
As a whink to OS/2 and System/360 and I'm shure #IBM would go after me if I named it OS/420...

My #introduction 👋 to the fediverse.
My name is John Jolly and I'm currently a graduate student at the #UofU in #SLC. I research #compiler optimizations on sparse tensor data layouts.
I'm also an adjunct professor at #UVU. I teach OS theory and compilers.
I worked for 10 years at #SUSE as a #linux kernel developer on #s390 and #hpc maintainer.
Before that I worked 15 years for #wordperfect - #novell - #microfocus.
I'm an amateur #astronomer and love #retro #arcade systems.
