I just wanted to share my moment of joy.
I am sitting at Legendarium, a trans owned bookstore and coffee shop and gaming center here in the SL,UT. Drinking a spiced mocha, hot, as the sun beats down on my skin in the 96° August afternoon. I had a wonderful night of intense connection with someone I love, followed by a morning spent in bed with him, talking and feeling close.
Tonight, I intend to connect more deeply to myself at a workshop held by Tantra Utah, and open myself to a holistic connection to those around me.
As I write my plans out for my upcoming adventure to Black Rock City, and think about bringing my community's intentions with me on my journey.
I am so thrilled to be me, here, now, in this body, on this Earth, open to all of the wonder and abundance that surrounds me. 🙏🪄🦄

I happened by an a pair of pelicans bathing in the Jordan River Parkway on my bike ride this afternoon.
In ancient Egypt, Henet was a pelican goddess associated with death and the afterlife. She was mentioned in the Pyramid Texts as symbolizing rebirth and protection, including protection against snakes.

If you run into these people in the #SLC area, you should buy some salt from them. Everything they make is amazing, I have one with miso in it, another with thai basil, one with pickling spices and bits of actual dried pickle
And yeah it's expensive to buy flavored salts but you don't need much, they last forever, it's worth it

Today featured too much bureaucratic stupid. I needed therapy and relief. I took a chance with iOS 27 (public beta 2) and asked it to “find me a scenic route to home without any freeways.” It worked!
With the top down, in sport+ mode, the scenery was amazing. I found myself going under the soeed limit! 😁
It took me longer to get home. But the smile on my face and lack of irritation from roadway stupid made it SO worth it!

I miss when the #SLC airport had a High West distillery location, but it's probably just as well, always getting on the plane a couple shots of whiskey in was probably not the best

Worried about the shrinking #GreatSaltLake? Me, too.
#utpol #Utahns claim they care. If so, where's the money for these programs to reduce #SLC air pollution? Air pollution directly increases the snow melt and heat in the valley.

I saw Tea Grotto just a block over from Legendarium has some nice outdoor seating now, I need to go back there one of these days. When I first visited #slc I went there every day.

Seven of the 11 warehouses ICE bought to store human beings as if they were nothing more than inventory (including the one in the "inland port" in #SLC) are being canceled. Sometimes, we do win against the barbarity.

This is only a start, we still need to:
* Get the other four canceled
* Shut down the other concentration camps, such as the ones being run in Texas and Florida
* Abolish ICE
* Burn our current immigration system to the ground and use its ashes to fertilize a humane way of welcoming new neighborsBut sometimes, we do win, and we get to celebrate that.
