Might have been running Runeterra again for about a week or so because a new runner showed up and beat all my former World Records that were played on the normal animation speed.
For about a year now you've been able to change the animation speed, making it up to 4 times as fast, but no one actually ran the game again up til now. I did two runs on 4x animation speed half a year ago, but got bored because there was no one to compete against. I was also not going to split the boards into animation speed categories - there aren't enough runners for that, so I just beat the faster times again now.Shoutout to my dear friend ktc who reminded me to check if I had Runeterra installed on my SSD. I've been unknowingly handicapping myself due to running on the wrong hardware. 🥴

Of course I had to take a look at Riftbound because I've been playing League since 2011 and I'm a big fan of card games - which is why I loved Legends of Runeterra.
Now, I thought the footage I had seen so far was old, or showing off prototypes, but Riot is really just recycling Runeterra cards, Arcane stills and League splash arts for Riftbound.
That's genuinely disappointing. Most of them are literally just Runeterra cards, which is the game they've basically killed.
I'm a mix of sad, frustrated and.. well, not super surprised. It doesn't feel good.

I've been watching some videos talking about different skins in #LeagueofLegends from a character designer PoV. I don't play LoL, but I do play #runeterra so I know a few characters. And I fine the discussion interesting.
That said...wow Splash art on skins will be GORGEOUS then the actual in-game skin is like 6 polygons. -
I know those who don't play #runeterra are going to understand this, but one of the weekly things is both sides get max mana every turn. So I played my mean Nami build and got a 12/10 on turn 1. A 24/8 by turn 3.
