I have just added a new feature to my Jinx spell-checking package. The new command jinx-remove-word removes words from the personal dictionary, file-local variables and so on. Reuben Thomas (the maintainer of the Enchant library backing Jinx) suggested this addition. He is also an #emacs and #jinx user!

Window Treatment Note: To be fair, Dexy was probably first to rip the thin curtain panel a bit when she fell off the top of the loveseat during a snooze. Whisper also likes to perch at that spot, but without incident. Jinx has since added his touches to it, turning it into a feline art project. I have sturdier drapes to replace it, but I’m curious if he’ll manage to turn the panel into a valance first.

I’ve been checking the back yard several times a day for kitten activity but haven’t seen any since the Sunday at the end of May. Dexy (not shown), Jinx and Whisper have been watching too. Their mom shows up solo during the night for food and water. I hope they return or are otherwise safe.

A new Jinxism has emerged as Ive been at the dining room table going through job listings — Jinx will take a break from tormenting the girls, hop up on my lap, then put his front paws on my chest or nuzzle into the crook of my arm to get me to hold him.

I should never admit when things are going well. I had a productive week & felt an extra spring in my step while walking the dog, grateful for feeling, dare I say, happy. Then I went to the gym but got careless and dropped a 45lb plate on my foot. OUCH! but I finished most of my routine. Driving home, working the clutch hurt like hell. Now I have a swollen, painful toe, likely broken. Ice, Advil and elevation for a couple days. It isn't pretty. I'll spare you all the pictures.
