Wow, all of the public #ProxiTok instances seem to be down. :(

Fortunately, (a) I rarely need to visit #tiktok urls (ugh), and (b) yt-dlp still works.
It's a bummer, though. People need #privacy-respecting front-ends.

I've got a few friends who use #TikTok and who like to send me links. I refuse to get the app, and opening the site is slow as hell in web browsers. Half the time the site also decides it's not working and insists that I get the app.
In the spirit of friendship, I've been suffering through this.
But now I found there's a frontend for TikTok - #ProxiTok So far, works well!

The main #nitter instance has been a bit sad lately, either overheating itself, or being rate limited to oblivion. The good thing is it finally pushed me to spin up my own and while I was at it I also got a #ProxiTok and #bibliogram. I'll probably rarely use those two, but it's still nice to have them.
