  7. @chrissiepebbles Something that works well here to find #engagement is to use #hashtags, especially in your #Introduction
Lots of people check out intros regularly. So, #dogs #backpacking #cycling #Retired #educator #PrimaryTeacher #outdoors stuff will find its way to folks who want to talk to you about those very things.

  8. I found this phonics song I like on YouTube. All of the sounds are correct...except...I wish they wouldn't use "elephant" for Ee. What do you think? youtube.com/watch?v=ffeZXPtTGC4

  11. My school cancelled today since we are expecting Hurricane Nicole to blow through SC later today. I've already gotten a few texts from moms of my students saying how sad the kids are that they can't come to school. I love their eagerness to learn and hope they always have that love of school and learning.

  13. I haven't figured out yet how to best interact with communities on here so for now I'll try hashtags.

I have a #teaching question. I have a handful of children in my Y3 class who need support with spelling. They are making phonetically plausible spellings but rarely choosing the correct graphemes. We do spelling lessons 4 times a week to introduce new words and recap general spelling rules but there are a small number of children who I think need some kind of intervention.

I am limited in terms of extra adults or 1:1 support I can provide for this, so I'm looking for something they could do independently that would help them.
