What sorcery is this? 🪄 I often catch myself typing 'anough' for 'enough'. It's also closer to how I pronounce it. I may adopt this spelling out of spite. Does this happen in other languages?

She traveled to New York to attend Katharine Gibbs School in the 1930s and later became a chief administrator at Duke Hospital.She must have used this book quite often. It is worn and filled with her handwritten notes. I wish I could have connected with her as a fellow word nerd.

Went to ship a package the other day and the guy in the Post Office insisted on trying to pronounce my name. He did pretty great, considering the surprising twists I've heard. Said he takes pride in guessing people's pronounciations, told him he surprised me with his near-perfect guess.

@siv @shojiwax agree. Though I use #Tusky which doesn't appear to have a payment process but I'm open to being directed to such a thing.
I do pay my instance however, but once again it's more of a donation than a cast in stone #requirement.
So many folks are using #Mastodon now and it seems to me that the ppl doing the work should be #reimbursed for their costs #technically (hardware, services etc), as well as for the work they must either put in themselves or get #volunteers to do for them, which isn't always 💯% effective as evidenced by some instances where a user gets their arse kicked for a #spelling error seen by one #moderator as death for the user and by another on the same instance as ho hum not worth a thought.
I only #donate $8 per #month which in real terms is nothing, but in terms of the value we derive from the #platform as users can be life changing for an #instance manager, if enough ppl say I really want this to continue, so I will donate the equiv of a cup of #coffee for example and do so #monthly.

@AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic To that, I add, “I will re-read that thing I sent 3-4 times, find and correct the #spelling errors and small #clarifications of stuff I thought but didn’t type.” And that’s on top of the 2-3 times I re-read it in my head before sending it and #pondering the various #interpretations and #responses.
Sometimes I force myself to send without looking, but I need to do #relaxing #breathing after. Hehe 🤢🤢🤮
