I’d started on my own #piratebox ish thing last year, based on a Raspberry Pi Zero (hoping to make some time to get it into a more presentable/working state and share it somewhere).
But I’d love to try building one (or more) of these — seems like using an ESP32 means they’d be cheaper to make several and plant them all over the place

A quick #introduction

I’m a #twitter escapee and #reddit defector who has been lurking on the #fediverse for a while now.

Live and work in #NYC where I teach #art and spend most days #writing and #making stuff. Been #vegan since the late 90s, #linux and #foss guy for over 20 years, am the creator of the #PirateBox, and I used to live in a 30-foot school bus.

Also, pretty sure I’m the only faculty member at NYU to own a tractor (it’s a long story).
