@JeffBishop Funny I had a similar experience in Pennsylvania. They discourage being a member at large here but when I joined a local chapter it was a mess till I carried on enough to finally get someone to inform the treasurer to check their Pay Pal. #OyVey

Well that was an adventure. I finished the install, it told me to reboot, I did. Then Jfw 2025 launched and asked if I wanted to update and told me there was a major release. Huh what? I thought I already had. Ok fine suit yourself go for it. This time much quicker it goes in with no issue but then after reboot and Windows sign in, nothing doing so in comes Narrator. And then JFW decides to show up to the party I sign in and go on my merry little way. Usually installing straight from full installer is well not this weird but alrighty then. #OyVey

For some reason I got duplicate confirmation emails for my Apple Upgrade status and for the briefest of moments I thought oh nooo did I order 2 of everything heaven forbid? But, no it was just strange duplication because the account numbers were merely duplicated. #OyVey

I grant you it may perhaps hasten our access to books in audio form but still if we don't love the #virtualVoice they've chosen it can be a rough go. I suppose the same could be said of human narrators too. Still if I don't love a narrator I at least can take solace in the fact that someone is hopefully earning a living. I just ran into my first "virtual voice" title on #Audible.com The other sad thing is the virtual voice used for this one is also now showing up on those spam calls I get about all of my fictitious loan applications don't ya know. Uggghhhh I was looking for a type of butterfly and misremembered the name. The actual name is "pulelehua", but I searched "palehua". The pulelehua butterfly is also called Kamehameha butterfly. As far as I know, there is no palehua butterfly.

But look how confidently the AI summary tells me about the (non-existent) palehua butterfly, and it even tells me that it's also called the Kamehameha butterfly.

Meanwhile, the normal search algo correctly told me that what I meant was "pulelehua", but the incorrect AI summary was first 🫣
