Ever since I noticed that kbin went down, I looked for an alternative to it and found mbin, recreating the older kbin magazine for OS-tans on mbin.
That mbin magazine (https://fedia.io/m/osgijinka) is now the official mbin magazine thread for OS gijinkas and similar tech gijinkas on the fediverse.
Since I’m the same person who owned the old kbin magazine and the r/OStan subreddit I’ll most likely just cross post older posts from the subreddit there for now until I think of something original. I want to have this as the official fediverse alternative to the OS-tan subreddit at least ^^;;

This one is of the Windows XP-kun!Sometimes in an overly dramatic way, XP-kun is portrayed as a strong man in his late teens or early 20s. Like XP-tan, he too has long black hair and blue or dark grey eyes, but his hair is tied in a low ponytail, frequently braided, with a red bow. His chest bears a prominent scar in the shape of a "XP". Though most artworks show him shirtless, wearing only a collar, cuffs, and a long loincloth.
XP is a bold yet kind man who is generally a pleasant, laid-back individual who simply occasionally lacks clarity. Despite his might, he shows kindness for children and animals and appears to accept individuals for their true selves. He could be boisterous, but he's just happy.

This one is of the Windows 2K-kun!He is the older brother of 2K-tan, XP-tan, XP-kun, Homeko, and Homeo, and the younger brother of Inu-T. He is Me-kun's pal as well. He appears to be a man in his late 20s or early 30s with metallic cat ears, spectacles, and a circular blue hairdo. His eyes are blue-grey. The buttons on his light blue suit are the same hue as his tie.
He is quite proficient in both office and combat work, and he exudes a cool, collected, and professional manner. The majority of the individuals he spends time with are characters from the Nijiura and Futaba series, including his closest friend Eigyouseki and his romantic interest Daiginjou.
2K-kun enjoys spending time with his family, despite his busy schedule at the office. He is often seen in the company of Me-kun and XP-kun

This one is of the Windows Me-kun!Me-kun is identical to his sister Me-tan in appearance and screwed-up side, but he is wiser and more helpful; he may occasionally be seen reading Windows Help files to others.
Me-kun is extremely protective of his sister, even to the point of interfering in their relationship or attempting to rescue her from the problems she brought about. Apart from that, he is frequently pictured getting along with Homeo, XP-kun, and 2K-kun, the former of whom serves as Me-kun's guardian.

This one is of the Windows 98-kun!98-kun is the younger brother of 95-tan and 95-kun and the older brother of 98-tan, 98SE-kun, 98SE-tan, Me-tan and Me-kun. 2k-tan and onwards are his half-siblings. He can transform into a masked vulcan and is laid-back, but with a more serious nature than most of the OS-tans/-kuns as if he holds a sense of responsibility for his siblings.
He is usually the one either keeping the peace or looking after his sisters and brother, keeping a calm demeanor even when his sisters are upset or his brother is all over him. Though he manages to keep his composure most of the time

This one is of the Windows 95-kun!95-tan is a man wearing a pink men's yukata, geta or zori, and his hair held up in a samurai-style ponytail by a small set of Windows-coloured ribbons. Prominantly featured on the front of his yukata is the Windows logo, cocked to the side as the family symbol. He has brown hair and eyes, normally with some form of sideburns, stubble, or both. He is 95-tan's older brother, but they are sometimes mistaken for a married couple.
He's as easy-going but also an expert swordsman and a reliable older brother. However, he is often seen drinking alcohol.

This one is of the Windows 3.1-kun!3.1-kun is a man wearing a "3.1" medal on his right side and green uniform for the military from the Meiji era. He is seen as the older brother of NT-Mama, the uncle of 95-tan, and the younger brother of 1.0-tan and 3.1-tan. He has an elderly voice when he speaks. He has a DOS companion, just like his -tan counterpart, although his is a humanoid rather than a cat.
He retired with KanjiTalk 7.5-tan after the OS battles. Though he doesn't often appear, he would occasionally test his strength against 2K-kun and XP Pro-kun. Since 3.1-kun isn't shown off much in the fandom, little is known about him or his character. Since he doesn't antagonize other OSes, it's likely that he's retired comfortably or that his years of combat have left him with knowledge that longs for peace.

This one is of the OSX Cats!They represent the Mac OS X versions 10.0 through 10.4, respectively. They are Mac OS 9-tan and Mac OS 9-kun's younger brothers. This group, which frequently leaves out Reobo, consists of characters like Cheetah and Tiger, though rarely there is sometimes one for Mac OS X Leopard.
Mac OS 9-tan is very special to the OSX Cats; they treat her like a sister and gladly handle all household chores on her behalf. The OSX Cats are shown as a cheetah, puma, jaguar, panther, tiger, and leopard in the first image, from left to right.
They are quite tough and have had extensive training from KanjiTalk 7.5-tan. Little interaction occurs with other characters because all five of them always appear together. They lack organization and intelligence, and their distinctive personalities has not yet been fully developed.

It is rumored that Mac OS 9-kun harbors a slight affection for Me-tan. He is frequently portrayed as working behind the scenes and as a bystander in most circumstances, but in works that show his interactions with Me-tan, he frequently plays the lead role.

This one is of Reobo!Being the younger brother of Mac OS 9-tan, Mac OS 9-kun, and the OSX Cats, he represents Mac OS X Leopard. He and Visbou are childhood friends, and the two like to play practical jokes on the Windows Family.
Mac OS 9-tan who adores him like a mother and is frequently seen caressing or cuddling him is typically spotted with him. He can also be spotted with Homeo, the other OSX-kuns, and occasionally Kyourou or ME-kun when he's not with her. In addition, he spends a lot of time with Kyuuki, a character from Nijiura and Futaba.
He normally wears an animal-patterned loincloth that matches his tail and ears, and on occasion he may have wraps on his hands or feet. Along with the other members of the OSX line, he also sports a scarf or cape and an apple-shaped eyepatch.
