I'm looking at Repology, and I think most of the distributions and other downstreams have rightfully boycotted #Python #chardet #copywashing. Of course, there's the possibility that some of them are simply out-of-date, though.

So far chardet-7 is distributed by #Chromebrew, #CondaForge (not on Repology), #Homebrew, #KaOS, #OpenIndiana, #openmamba, #Ravenports, #Spack and #T2 SDE. Shame on you!

@dhry I ziggeded instead of zagged. I am installing #OpenMamba on the ebox. It’s an independent DNF based rolling distro with #KDE as their standard DE. They have the broadcom firmware in their repos (I did not test since the ebox has no wireless connections).

Correct Missing something?

I already learned last week that #homebrew and @alpinelinux already updated to syslog-ng 4.8.1, however now I checked #replogy at: https://repology.org/project/syslog-ng/versions and found up-to-date #syslog_ng in distros I have never heard about :-) Time to check #KaOS and #openmamba

After this weekend, I think my #Linux slump is over (for now).

I was able to get the #Cosmic desktop loaded onto one of my computers, the N100 nuc

#Fedora Budgie is a fun spin of Fedora.

I got #Ubuntu back and running on the Mango Pro MQ #RISCV . It will now be a #CLI gaming powerhouse 🤣

And to add the cherry on top, I was able to install one of my favorite plucky lil OS, #OpenMamba, onto a portable ssd. Now I can bring the Mamba wherever I go 😂

I have missed #OpenMamba so much that I have decided to put it back on the N100.

Also, this gives me an excuse to try out :kdedark: :plasma: 6

I attempted to install #OpenMamba in my AMD based pc, but it would not boot after install. The live session worked but not on bare metal.

I did try out for a hot second #GhostBSD. It was neat but I wanted to stay with #Linux for ease of accessing my other drives on the system.

Currently I am up and running #ClearLinux. It’s interesting. For app installation it is either #Flatpak or source, adding other methods can brick the system from what I have read.

-Tried #Megeia- did not like
-Installed #Void- just eh; I dont want to learn the syntax for the cli
-Attempted to boot: #GhostBSD, #4MLinux, and #VineLinux- black screens

#OpenMamba might not last long... It is one of those rolling release models that push things out too quickly and break a lot of stuff in the process.

The most recent updates broke Flatpak... Oy

Hey my peeps I have an interesting issue with #Openmamba and/or #KDEPlasma on #Wayland:

I cannot logout, restart or shutdown from the desktop. But I can switch users and then from that screen restart or shutdown.

Does this sound more like a Plasma issue or does this sound more like an OS issue? Currently running the most current version of Plasma and Openmamba.

I am loving #Openmamba so far; my only complaint is that the mirrors are slow AF. @thelinuxcast I think this might give #Opensuse a run (or more aptly slow walk) for it’s money 🐢

I am having lots of fun with #Openmamba. #Plasma on #Wayland is kind of winning me over.

I think I got the theming down for now (if that is possible with Plasma).
