Was still able to catch a whiff of this #oliphantBrewing Amerston Spiral Bug Egg Mask Bourbon-Barrel Aged Baltic Porter that I forgot (open) in the fridge since Friday. Flattened out, very oaky finish, as far as I can tell!

It’s a wonderful BA with big barrel tangy notes, a malty lead and a bourbon finish.

#oliphantBrewing Amerston Spiral Bug Egg Mask #bourbonBarrelAged #BalticPorter has a ridiculously long name, and a tight wax seal, but it’s worth the effort!
A rich pour in deep black and red tones, the nose is dark fruit, caramel and chocolate. Thick bodied, sweet and pleasantly boozy.

Super smooth with rich color and dark fruit notes. Hints of chocolate and brown sugar caramel.
Only took 2 minutes to get the wax off this time. One more bottle in reserve! 😎

Not sure who Oliphant Brewing was trying to keep out of the bottle but holy crap took me 5 minutes to get the wax seal off!
The battle was worth it! Vanilla, fruit, chocolate notes in a rich, smooth body. Another one for the collection.
