    Big coffee and cinnamon nose, rich and slightly sweet body with coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, and a little chili kick. Not a slap you spicy but a nice pop.

  3. Needed a pairing for dinner and had a second bottle of #firestoneWalker Boilermaker 2022 for #stoutThursday

    Thin body with a rye whiskey lead and a bit of chocolate. Reasonably tasty but not “wow”. Let it warm to squeeze out the flavors.

  6. It’s #stoutThursday and I got got some rye rye in my life life!

    #boulevardBrewing Rye on Rye is excellent. Barrel-aged, Ruby red, spicy rye with boozy bourbon and a tart snappy finish. A gentle quadruple in disguise. Less sharp than their Sixth Glass quad.

    And 13.2% to boot!

    Call Me Old Fashioned steps into the mixed drink taste realm with strong cherry 🍒 brandy and bourbon notes, subtle orange and a slight bitter/sour finish. It’s a mid-body summer sipper, serve it cold!

    AleSmith Brewing Speedway Stout with coffee, chocolate and caramel, and a nice touch of bitter and carbonation.

    Serve 55 degrees and up, had to let it warm up to balance out and reveal the caramel.

    One for the keeper list in the “coffee stout” column.

    She likes wine, not beer.
    I like both, but prefer beer.

    Gotta hit the singles aisle tomorrow, ran out of time to purchase today but spied some new #stoutBeer to add to the collection!

  30. It really needs to be #stoutThursday … oy what a week.

    Tonight’s choice is #VennBrewing Lunar Rising, a breakfast stout with a HUGE coffee and chocolate lead and a chaser of what my wife calls “fig” and I call vanilla-molasses.

    Bigger on the coffee than my tastes run, but a nice lightly carbonated change of pace.
