The authorities are beginning to work through the most significant risks that the country will face after the end of the special military operation.

The first and most significant risk is the rise of nationalist sentiment. At the beginning of the special military operation, nationalists and monarchists were actively used to promote the operation: nationalist ideology and aesthetics were the most fertile ground for mobilising people.

However, today the state clearly fears that this agenda could spiral out of control and take on a life of its own. The rise of everyday nationalism among people who have been through combat operations is a huge challenge for the law enforcement system in Russia’s multi-ethnic environment.

Reactive forces have built up, and there is no doubt that they will be sought out and deployed; it is impossible to leave such a large number of fighters unsupervised.

The FSB tactics can and frequently does blow back into their faces. Damage control is usually managed using the old tested methods like detention or killings of nationalists whom FSB fostered, but who went out of control (like BORN).

He spared those who said “Russian” and murdered a 10 years old Tajik pupil. Inscriptions on his helmet say “KILL KIKES, SAVE RUSSIA” and “RACE. FATHERLAND. REVOLUTION”. The patch on his vest (black sun) is self-explanatory, it’s used by many nationalist groups, including “Rusich”. “13/52” is a racist slur targeting Black people.

The video was reportedly taken on 6th January near #Zarechye village, #Odintsovo district. Supposedly it is #Pantsir C1.
