"Coffee," Pierre Bonnard, 1915.
Bonnard is a favorite of mine, but I like the Nabis in general, for their embrace of intimate scenes and willingness to be pleasant and decorative. This little scene of a woman having coffee while her dog gets into mischief is just the sort of thing we'd dlike our mornings to be.

"Woman Putting On Her Stockings," Pierre Bonnard, 1893.
I love Bonnard. He was a Nabi, a group of post-Impressionists who embraced intimate scenes, color and pattern, and simply being decorative. They believed art could be meaningful and be attractive to the eye. The Nabis are often overlooked but I think they are worth investigating.
