The #MZ700 emulation for the #Pico MZ is nearly finished! Documentation to write and update, plus testing on #RC2014 cards and #Pico2 hardware left to do. Hoping to have version 3.0.0 released by the end of the month. #RetroComputing

I'm not able to take part in #RetroChallenge this year, but I've just spent a few minutes enjoying last year's writeup of my #Sharp #MZ80K emulator for the #RaspberryPiPico . In the weeks after the challenge it went on to emulate the #MZ80A as well. The plan for this winter is to have a bash at #MZ700 emulation. The architecture isn't hugely different from the earlier MZs, but I'll need to implement colour output as a minimum.

Glory Be to Frog in Heaven, it’s Fan-Made Character-Mode Gradius
Why would someone make something like this? I'm glad they did though. It's fifteen minutes long, made for a pair of Japanese Sharp-produces home computers. Note that the proper name for this is not ASCII-art, as it makes heavy use of Japanese characters.
