AI can help with interview prep—but don’t rely on it blindly.
➜ Use AI to refresh what you already know
➜ Ask specific questions with context
➜ Always ensure you understand the why behind the answerAI should assist, not replace, real learning.

Want to break into ML engineering? The real path looks like this:
➜ Build a project for yourself—see if you enjoy it
➜ Fill in gaps with courses (now you know what’s missing)
➜ Build something useful for others
➜ Start applying & preppingActively building matters more than just studying.

When applying for MLE jobs:
➡ Stay organized—batch applications by similar requirements
➡ Prep for specific interview types
➡ Expand filters only if neededToo much variation = burnout. Stay focused and sane!

Hi, I'm Josie, I'm #trans, #lesbian, and #polyamorous (with two fiances!), I'm #autistic and have #adhd, and I'm a machine learning engineer (MLE) for a large gaming company.
I'm thinking of migrating from tech.lgbt to here :purple_heart:

Build vs Buy, Centralized vs Distrib...
These are false dichotomies as many orgs follow a similar path of:
1️⃣ When building new, first centralize
2️⃣ Move to distrib. model to avoid blocking
🔁 Start cycle againSo really, pull & release, pull & release is closer to the actual cadence & is also why the responses are so....lame when panels are asked "How do you navigate the Build vs Buy dilemma?" for the 100th time.

I think it's tremendously impt to understand lower-level concepts to become a great #datascientist and #mlengineer for the long-haul.
But if you're struggling to break in, first evaluate whether the gap is actually understanding high-lvl concepts. #🐘
