Mistigram: OK, we shared Burroughs and Kerouac, so let’s wrap it up and complete the Beat set. ‘I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked’, but Cthulu couldn’t draw all that in #ANSIart, so instead he just adapted #Howl’s 1956 #CityLights cover design. This piece was included in last month’s books-themed MIST0426 artpack collection.

Mistigram: after seeing an intriguing scan of this early text art illustration from #WillardSBain’s 1967 #InformedSources: Day East Received, Cthulu was moved to manually reproduce it as #ASCIIart and included it in last month’s new literature-themed MIST0426 artpack collection. The volume is patterned after all-caps teletype transmission by wire news services, and specifically “THE SKELETON OF THE BOOK IS MODELLED, SIGNIFICANTLY, ON THE AP REPORT FOR THE THREE DAYS FOLLOWING PRESIDENT KENNEDY’S ASSASSINATION.”
