Our singers in the video both have floor-to-ceiling windows (a shorthand signifier of great success), but their relationship has foundered and failed.
The song was recorded in two separate takes, expertly blended - the first use of this technique on a big hit.

This was the first album after the departure of Skunk Baxter and Jim Hodder and the shift into studio albums with session musicians.
