Calling all #medlib friends!
I built a tool that makes it easier to build proximity searches in PubMed, among other things!
You can check it out at https://pairwise-pubmed.streamlit.app/
You can see a 15 minute presentation I gave about it, including a demo, at the PNC-MLA conference, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWFvpcVXhbw&list=PLkdeJJs0vOyFADjyFALAj-OKd7uFh3RMg&index=5&t=2657s

We're looking for a new Medicine/Nursing Liaison to join at our Peoria campus. You'll be part of a good local team and a solid team of nursing/med liaisons across our campuses.
Happy to answer questions about the institution, I'm not on the search committee.

If there's a #medlib out there that needs a research project, I need someone to do an analysis of the AAHSL stats over the past 15 years. Not the stats themselves -- specifically the instrument. The questions or some aspect of the definitions has changed EVERY SINGLE YEAR since I've become aware of them (so 14+ years so far) and the effect this has on any kind of longitudinal comparison or benchmarking, even internally has to be impacted.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute finds main GPT-4 concerns include falsehoods, high costs https://www.zdnet.com/article/dana-farber-cancer-institute-finds-main-gpt-4-concerns-include-falsehoods-high-costs/
Interesting, and a new-to-me journal. A preprint of the paper is at https://osf.io/preprints/osf/bqv4f

Having to stop myself from chuckling as I hear my 7yo’s BrainPop app teaching him the same #SMART framework (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-based) that I have taught to #medical #librarians in a service development workshop. Better to learn it early, though. #medlib #projectmanagement

Hey #OpenScience, #SciLib, #MedLib enthusiasts and colleagues 👋
For a #SyvRev, transparency mandates including the raw extracted entities. If you extract (and then subsequently code) text fragments (e.g. definitions authors use, or their description of the results), and so make those public (#OpenScience), is that fair use?
Where are the limits to that?
A full introduction is too much I guess?
This gives some pointers, but doesn't say where the boundaries would lie: https://journals.viamedica.pl/nowotwory_journal_of_oncology/article/download/NJO.2020.0043/51857

@ustrimova @brianrkf @psychology @healthpsychologists
Look at the JBI guidance on scoping reviews - Zachary Munn and Andrea Tricco are doing great work. If you don't have access to an information specialist / #medlib building search terms out of the matching components of recent Cochrane reviews is a cinch, given how completely they report terms / portals / databases. If you do need to translate across databases, polyglot on the SR Accelerator site is useful.

Good morning fellophants! It's a solidly packed Monday, time for a #DayInTheLife
Curious what a #medlib / #datalib / #datapolicy does? Follow along and ask questions (will do my best to be timely)
First up, I'm finishing slides on the train ride in. I've got a data management plan lecture later that I'm drawing from 3 other decks but it's not quite done.
