This is indeed very impressive stuff. However what we could learn from demo is this:
They ain't real.
Real as in this was an Unreal Engine 5 demo for current generation consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077 didn't look and moved like in the demo. Just like Aliens: Colonial Marines looked worse than in the demo (and it was for PC, which is much more powerful than console), and many other games, company's lie to you frequently.
I am a skeptic that this would work on any less than a top-top PC hardware.
I am not jelous or anything. I was never be able to play the latest games (currently 7 years behind), and the current AAA games doesn't really interest me, as they have shallow story, uninspired gameplay mechanics, and microtransactions.
For me the very first Unreal is a top game, and wish many games would be like that. I still remember the awe, when I heard the menu music, and saw the fly-by at the castle. Later in-game, the environment made me go wow. I also remember how it shat on John Carmack's latest child called Quake 2. I saw flies in Unreal and you could see their wings. In Q2 it was a pixel.
The first Unreal wasn't just about graphics. It had a good AI, which still holds up today, different environments from corridors, amazing music that changed with what's happening around you, and a story in which you are not playing a hero, but prisoner whose ship had an accident on alien planet. Silent protagonist, can be anybody, man or woman or whatever.

Unreal 5 can be unreal, but it's just a skeleton. We need flash, brain, taste, hear, see, etc.
