The Matrix is so good i started watching it on Video CD and I just watched the entire movie on Video CD and its just so good that im literally stuck to it even on this shitty medium, though some parts looked really good on Video CD

Pretty amusing Star Talk segment by the end.
I'd counter with something like, there is more than one game engine. There is more than 1 game in any arcade. There is more than 1 game on people's computers. There is more than one possible chain from a real universe to simulated ones.
We have barely begun to tinker with brain organelles.
Being in a simulation is not an idea generated recently. I sat in a math department graduate lecture, nearly 4 decades ago, where the point was made that the odds on being in a simulated universe were considerably better than the odds on being in the 1 real one, assuming there is just 1. We do simplify a lot.
