#Israel: Arabs may run only if they support #apartheid.
The Central Elections Committee voted on Wednesday to disqualify #MansourAbbas’s #UnitedArabList from running in the Knesset election, as well as the Joint List, of parties Hadash, Ta’al & Balad. The committee claimed some members of the parties “reject Israel as a Jewish & democratic state.”
Appeals may be made to the High Court, which struck down similar rulings before.
