On the bench: #Luxman LV-117.
This amp was dead when I got it: it came out of protection, but no output signal.
It had been badly "worked" on before, several pads and traces burned/lifted, two transistors transposed and one transistor replaced with a fake (wrong hFE etc).
I did the minimum repairs of the above, to see if fixing it entirely was feasible, and to my surprise, it worked fine after that work. Next steps: cleaning and testing more thoroughly.

#electronics #repair of today: The Luxman LV-103 is back together and simple tests have it working fine. Now waiting for it to warm up so I can do bias current check/adjustment (so far, it seems to run a bit higher (50mV) than it should (45mV), but it'll settle out, I am sure).
The valves/tubes in the preamp run warm, but not hot (maybe 35C without load).
