TOWN CENTRE – SATURDAY 28th MARCH, 10-12"Wellingborough Town Council are once again joining #WellingboroughEcoGroup and #WellieWombles on our biggest litter pick of the year!
On the last Saturday of every month, Wellingborough Eco Group normally carries out a two hour tidy up with Wellie Wombles and numerous volunteers. We are returning to where we held this special litter pick last year.
Do join us and Wellingborough Town Council for The Great British Spring Clean! This year it takes place on Saturday 28th March and we are litter picking the town centre!

Massive thank you to the 16 litter picking heroes who joined us for our monthly Two Hour Tidy Up to litter pick Ladywell Park and the surrounding streets.
We litter picked 37 bags full of litter, plus cleared a chair, a toys car, a barrel, three footballs, a tyre and a few large bits of plastic. A huge haul on a soggy day, well done all!

This Month’s Two Hour Tidy Up takes place on Saturday 29th November in Croyland Park and Gardens. We will be setting up our Recycling Station from 9:30 in John Drage Funeral Directors’ car park, for litter picking between 10 and 12. A neighbour was dismayed by the firework debris in the local playground. So I went out before dinner with my #Leiden council-provided litterpicker and cleared it up, including two unlit firecrackers, some sharp plastic bits, and over 100 matches, some also unlit.

Massive thank you to the 9 litter picking heroes who came out for this month’s Two Hour Tidy Up, which was a Halloween special! We litter picked 15 bags full of litter, just the trick, and stayed afterwards for some home-made soup for a treat! We litter picked in Twilight London Road Cemetery and along The Walks 4-6 this evening.

Get your fancy dress ready, this Month’s Two Hour Tidy Up is a Halloween special!
We will be setting up our Recycling Station at the entrance to cemetery on Castle Road from 3:30, for a spooky litter pick between 4-6
Plus at ECO HUB, just over the road, will be open from 5:30 until 7:00, for some homemade soup, + tea & coffee
