While walking on the nature paths around Skovsgaard, #Langeland, #Denmark 🇩🇰 I passed an old viking skibssætning in the forest.
A skibssætning is stones placed as the outline of a vikings ship, in the middle the corpse was burned and often buried with grave gifts.
This one is said to not have been excavated.
Was visiting Skovsgaard castle, on the island of #Langeland, #Denmark 🇩🇰 this weekend. Or rather the nature around the castle.
Today the castle is owned by Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Danish for "Denmark's Nature Conservation Association"), You can visit the castle for a small fee, but the nature (fields, forest and bogs) belonging to the castle are free to visit. #photography #history #castle

Urlaub Tag 24
Nachdem wir heute Nacht ordentlich durchgeschüttelt wurden und gegen 2:30h die Nase vom #WoMo in den Wind gedreht haben war das eine etwas unruhige Nacht.
Morgens fuhren wir nach #Nakskov (schönes Städtchen) und danach über #Langeland wieder zum #LilleIbjergSø. Nach einer #HundeRunde um den See, mit Hunde wässern, konnten die Jungs im WoMo bleiben und wir waren nochmal schwimmen.
Anschließen war rumgammeln neben dem WoMo angesagt.
Urlaub Tag 13
Vom Stellplatz #Tranekær erstmal eine schöne #Hunderunde und uns das #Doppelganggrab #Tvillingejættestue angeschaut. Dann fuhren wir nach #Lohals im Norden von #Langeland.
Anschließend Richtung #StrandlystFrugtplantage (Pintrip) aber Ausfahrt verpasst, schon waren wir auf der Brücke nach #Siø. Mit dem WoMo wenden war nicht also weiter nach #Svendborg einkaufen und dann zu Jytte & Bjarne, einem Pintrip Platz auf dem wir schon 2x waren.
Urlaub Tag 11
Bis #Langeland war es nur eine Stunde. Wir haben uns #Langelandsfortet angeschaut. Eine ehemalige #Festung der dänischen #Marine, heute ein #Museum über den #KaltenKrieg. Man kann in die #Bunkeranlagen und es stehen einige #Flugabwehrgeschütze da rum. Das letzte dänische #UBoot und eine #MIG23 kann besichtigt werden. Wir waren mit den Jungs eine Runde durch #Wind und #Regen und sitzen jetzt in unserem gemütlichen #WoMo an der Marina in #Bagenkop.
